After three years of work and the crisis caused by the Covid-9 pandemic, the first KLM flight from Amsterdam finally arrived at Cancun International Airport today, with 295 passengers of more than 21 nationalities.
Four direct flights from Amsterdam per week will arrive at this tourist destination and one more will be added in January, which will allow the economic reactivation to continue.
The municipal president of Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama accompanied by Wilfrid Mohr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, thanked the prestigious airline KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for their confidence, which with this connection confirms Cancun as a safe destination for both investments and for tourism.
“This confirms our city as a safe destination for investments, but more importantly safe for the thousands and thousands of national and foreign tourists who visit us every day,” said Mara Lezama.
The Ambassador of the Netherlands in Mexico, Wilfred Mohr, pointed out that this offers the possibility of describing the great country and strengthening the economic ties between Mexico and the Netherlands.
