BOGOTÁ, Colombia — The Colombian army says 17 people were killed aboard a military helicopter when it plunged to the ground.
The army said in a news release Monday that a commission reached the site and confirmed there were no survivors in the crash.
The accident occurred Sunday afternoon in a rural zone of Pensilvania province in Caldas department, northeast of the Colombian capital, Bogotá.
