Alexis Cervantes had been missing since last December 21. The National Professional Basketball League had requested help to find the whereabouts of the athlete.
The Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office acknowledged that only on December 26 began the investigations to locate the athlete and the taxi driver named Marco Sandoval, who would transfer the game from the municipality of Los Reyes to the city of Guadalajara.
The institution explained that it had information that the basketball player boarded a taxi in the vicinity of the bus station of the municipality of Los Reyes, it was in that place where he was last seen.
The player is from Guasave, Sinaloa, but went to Los Reyes, Michoacán, to participate in a sporting event. The last news about the athlete was that he had erased a bus bound for the city of Guadalajara and from there he was on his way to his native Sinaloa.
