The world had not seen anything like this since the information leaks from WikiLeaks. Because now, the so-called “Panama Papers” leave many naked and exposed. With the difference that WikiLeaks acted from within the bowels of the empire, against the same empire.
The Panama Papers have already become a public display of a part of the ruling class in different countries, among which Mexico has also appeared, with a proportional share.
Although we have to acknowledge that its part is minor when compared with the share of the problem that belongs to Russian President Vladimir Putin and his people.
Who leaked this information? Nobody knows. Why and how were the data generated? Perhaps, in order for the truth to shine and to finally make corruption involve high risks.
However, from Mexico we have to observe the coincidences of life. Because days ago, Andrés Sepúlveda, a Colombian hacker now imprisoned, approached the media and spoke about his antics, noting that one of the political campaigns he most successfully articulated through hacking “casually” turned out to be that of President Enrique Peña Nieto.
What I find interesting in these times where everything is public, is the multiplication — not of loaves and fishes — but of the truths at a given time.
Because the first hint I had about the Panama Papers being correct about their information was the reaction of the Russian government, which started that the leak seemed to destabilize the country. Which is true, since it is clear Russia is among its biggest targets.
That the most affected of all is Putin can be related to the fact that that former member of the CIA known for leaking classified U.S. information, Edward Snowden, lives in Moscow.
But that doesn’t downplay the coincidences in Mexico. Because first it was the Colombian hacker and now the circle closes with the characters involved in the Peña Nieto’s “White House” incident. Because among those who appear in the Panama Papers is the owner of Grupo Higa. Such coincidences are very interesting, don’t you think?
Now we are all naked and bare. And we must know that in these times not only it is impossible to hide something, but that people can even create other realities so that we pay for what we have done or what we haven’t.
Currently, those who are corrupt are finally an endangered species and that is great news for the world. Now it will be necessary to follow up on these issues and revelations.
