Former President Vicente Fox Quesada said that Margarita Zavala Calderón will be the next National Action Party (PAN) candidate for president. Zavala Calderón is the wife of former President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa.
In an interview with Ciro Gómez Leyva, Fox Quesada applauded Zavala Calderón for referring to herself as “Margarita Zavala” rather than “Margarita Calderón,” which allows her to “start at zero.” He added that she has the ability to win the presidency for the PAN.
Fox Quesada also celebrated the success of the PAN in Sunday’s elections, saying “levelheadedness is back.”
