The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) board has selected its new directors for the period of 2017-2021.
During the meeting, rector Alfredo Barrera Baca installed Marcos Rafael García Pérez as the new director of the Accounting and Administration Department. García Pérez holds a master’s degree in International Administration and has been a university academic since 1980.
María Dolores Durán García was appointed as director of the Engineering Department. Durán García holds a PhD in Engineering Sciences and has been an academic at UAEM since 2005. She is the author of six chapters of books and is a member of the National System of Researchers.
The Tourism and Gastronomy Department also appointed Elva Esther Vargas Martínez as their new director. Vargas Marínex is a doctor of Environmental Sciences, who has taught at UAEM since 1998 and studied for both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the university.
Cristian González Flores was appointed the new director of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz High School, located in Amecameca. He holds a masters degree in Administration, is an academic of different subjects and author of anthologies for high school- and college-age learners.
