With workshops on how to build a drone and lectures given by LEGO Education México, the Autonomous University of the State of México (UAEM) will hold the First Science and Technology Congress. The conference aims to promote creativity, technological innovation and participation in scientific and technological tournaments through robotics and scientific application.
The event was organized by the Science Department and the Cuauhtémoc Campus at the UAEM High School, in coordination with the State of Mexico Science and Technology Council (Comecyt), as well as the Valle de Bravo Anexa Preparatory High School. It will include the MiniSumo Battle Tournament, in which any team made up of students or robotics clubs can register.
Students will also be able to find solutions for personal robotics projects at the event. The program seeks to encourage students to treat and solve robotics problems from an early age and to foster the learning of abstract concepts related to science.
Being held from November 9-11, the First Science and Technology Congress will include lectures by specialists from the UAEM and other institutions, which will address topics such as prototype robotics with LEGOs, modeling and monitoring of quadcopter drones, artificial intelligence, programming and robotics.
Likewise, workshops covering “Modeling and 3D Printing” and “Arduino Technology in the Educational Sector” will be offered, aiming to improve educational strategies to better teach scientific and technological knowledge.
