Toluca, Mexico – A total of 241 students from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) will be heading abroad. They will be studying in 90 different universities in 21 countries in North and South America, Europe and Asia. These students participated in the UAEM Festival of Ambassadors, which took place at the Medicine Department.
This event was headed by the UAEM director of International Cooperation, Eduardo de la Rosa Martínez, and among the guests was the State of Mexico Secretary of Foreign Relations, Fernando Alvear Maldonado. The event offered a bit of training for the students headed abroad. They talked about the enrollment process at different universities, what not to take during the flight, among other things. There was also talk of the federal institutions that help Mexicans studying abroad.
Students who had already participated in the abroad program shared their experiences and talked about security measures.
De la Rosa Martínez talked about how the UAEM works to improve study abroad programs and said that the number of participants increases year after year.
