Juan Jesús Flores Lorenzo, social anthropology student, said that in each of these departments collection boxes have been set up, so that students and people from the community can donate new or gently used toys to boys and girls in various communities.

Flores Lorenzo asked for participation from students, professors, administrative staff and the general public.

The anthropology student said that the idea for the toy drive came from a group of university students who organized a party in which attendees brought a toy donation as the cover fee. The toys were later distributed to children in Mexico City. The toys may also be brought to schools for children with learning disabilities or low-income.

In addition to being a project in favor of vulnerable sectors, it also helped to promote communication between students in different departments.

Toys can also be donated at Correos de México. For more information about how to donate toys please call 72 24 68 95 61.
