The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) carried out the first International Congress on Educational Research which gathered local and international professors, researchers and specialists.
During the opening ceremony, Geography Department director Francisco Zepeda Mondragón said that the UAEM, through humanistic values promoted by director Jorge Olvera García, seeks to develop skills and abilities to adapt to change and maintain a critical spirit.
Zepeda Mondragón noted that this congress aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in order to foster professional skills and create strategies that benefit students and institutions.
Rosario Pérez Bernal, secretary of Research and Advanced Studies at UAEM, pointed out that despite the challenges education faces, it is paramount to carry out events like this to achieve better practices always in the best interest of students.
The event included workshops, discussion groups and a book presentation.
