CANCUN, Quintana Roo – To verify that no public servant or person outside the Social Development Secretariat (Sedesol), uses social programs for political electoral purposes, the Quintana Roo Electoral Shielding Preventative Committee was installed in Cancun.
During the electoral process Prospera, DICONSA, Liconsa, the State Electoral Tribunal, INE, Fepade, controllership and legal of Sedesol would act as observer delegates, none of the programs will stop for some sort of reprogramming.
The purpose of this Committee is to ensure the legality and transparency in the management of resources for programs. At the same time supporting citizens, in exercising their right to vote for the political group that best suits them, is guaranteed.
The head of legal affairs Sedesol, Sixto González, explained that this platform will work in stages. The first is composed of training within the department, where it is explained to the public servants the responsibilities on electoral matters, crimes that can be incurred as typified; also referred to review operational and installations, vehicles and schedules of such servers.
The attorney general and transparency commissioner, Emilio Suárez Licona, said that the electoral shield is constituted as part of a policy of openness and closeness to the beneficiaries and accountability to the general public.
