The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), during the convention of delegates in Puebla, unanimously selected Senator Blanca Alcalá Ruiz as their candidate for the 2015.2016 governorship election process.
Speaking to Manlio Fabio Beltrones, national lead of the PRI, Alcalá Ruiz said that the state will become a better place for all if the party and the population can work together.
“We are going to recover Puebla. We will fight poverty and exclusion and will curb unfair layoffs,” she said.
The elections of June 5 will be different because the next state administration will last more than one year and eight months in order to standardize the local and federal election processes.
Alcalá Ruiz announced her candidacy on her Twitter account.
