The president of the Republic of Korea, Park Geun-hye, arrived today at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM), accompanied by a delegation of officials from her country for an official visit.
In the presidential hangar, Park was received by the undersecretary of exterior relations, Carlos de Icaza, the ambassador for Mexico in the Republic of Korea, José Luis Bernal Rodríguez, and the general director of East Asia, Alfonso de María y Campos.
She was also welcomed by the president of the Korean Community in Mexico, Kim Hyum-wook, and the regional president for Latin America of the Council for National Unification, Oh Byung-moon.
The Jumbo 787 plane landed at the AICM at 2 p.m.,and after a few minutes of waiting, the president of the Republic of Korea deplaned, dressed in a light blue jacket and navy blue pants.
She walked down the red carpet that had been set up by military personnel, and headed towards the central building, under the extreme heat that currently covers Mexico City.
