Agents of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Territorial Coordination CUH-7 have begun an investigation of an alleged manslaughter after the death of a man in a hostel in Roma, Cuauhtémoc of Mexico City.
The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office reported that the victim was over 40 years of age and is believed to be of Australian nationality and that the Australian embassy has been informed.
The hostel is located at the corner of the streets Cozumel and Durango. Authorities were alerted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday that inside one of the rooms “the victim was found suspended by a piece of fabric.”
Investigative police and experts have carried out fieldwork and clarify the cause of death and moved the body to the amphitheater of the Territorial Coordination CUH-8.
