Among the provisions stated in the amends are the simplification of competitive examinations for promotions and procedures to increase the available position

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto amended on Friday the Regulations of the Mexican Foreign Service to improve development opportunities for those engaged in the diplomatic and administrative areas of the service.

Peña Nieto noted that the output of these improvements — the most significant modifications since 2002 — will render the service more professional and dynamic. Among the provisions stated in the amends are the simplification of competitive examinations for promotions and procedures to increase the available positions.
