The state of Mexico faction of the National Action Party (PAN) filed claims against Morenistas Delfina Gómez Álvarez, National Regeneration Movement’s (Morena) candidate to governor of the State of Mexico, and Eva Cadena Sandoval, Veracruz deputy, before the Electoral Crimes Prosecutor’s Office (Fepade).
According to PAN General Legal Coordinator Eduardo Aguilar, Gómez Álvarez has allegedly engaged in graft, illicit enrichment, embezzlement, and electoral crimes. Aguilar stated that among the evidence presented to the Fepade are 70 check records that show a 10 percent deduction in worker’s salaries in Texcoco, where she tenured as municipal head.
Eduardo Aguilar also announced that the claim filed against Cadena Sandoval is grounded on two recently released videos that show her receiving money to allegedly hand over to Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Aguilar added that there is additional evidence that Cadena Sandoval raised money illegally to finance political campaigns.
