The dollar exchange rate at banks in Mexico City has reached 20.09 Mexican pesos. In Bancomer, the dollar surpassed 20 pesos for sale, and was bought at 18.90 pesos.
Since last week the peso’s value has been affected by diverse factors, leading to its drop in value, including the U.S. elections and the falling price of oil.
The peso’s volatility is also due to the Federal Reserve Bank meeting taking place this week in the United States.
