María Mercedes Rodríguez Mayoral, evaluation director of the Oaxaca Public Education State Institute (IEEPO), said that teachers who obtained high scores in the teacher’s assessment of November 2015 will have access to various benefits.
In a statement, the state government said that 1,134 teachers will have benefits such as salary and teaching hours increases and access to certified evaluators and tutors programs.
31 Oaxaca teachers managed to score “outstanding” results, with two of them being among the best in the country, according to data provided to the IEEPO.
Only 3 out of 10 teachers scored “insufficient” in the assessment, and will be required to enter regularization courses for a year, said Rodríguez Mayoral.
