Flood levels in Historic Center have dropped, allowing traffic to speed up

Rain has continued in Tlalpan, Coyoacan, Magdalena Contreras and Álvaro Obregón Tuesday morning, while in areas of Gustavo A. Madero, flooding continues. Motorists are urged to drive with caution.

The Mexico City Command, Control, Computation, Communication and Contact Center reported the flooding of a low bridge on Eje 5 South and Calzada de Tlalpan in the Nativitas neighborhood, Benito Juárez borough, as well as on Gran Canal and Periferico, in the Nueva Atzacoalco neighborhood, of Gustavo A. Madero.

On Avenida Fray Servando Teresa de Mier and 5 de Febrero, in Historic Center, flooding has decreased allowing traffic to hit normal speeds again.

There is a temporary road block for road works on the Avenida 20 de Noviembre and Venustiano Carranza. The alternative road route is on Isabel la Católica.
