President Enrique Peña Nieto acknowledged Maseca Indistrial Group (GIMSA) for joining the Agreement for Economic Strengthening and Protection of the Household Economy. Peña Nieto noted in social media Maseca’s commitment to keeping flour prices steady during the first quarter of 2017.
Peña Nieto, along with state and municipal governments, signed the agreement which aims to protect the household economy of Mexican families.
Other corporations have joined the initiative by pledging not to make unjustified price increases on basic food products.
