Mexico City Mayor Miguel Ángel Mancera has given the green light to 100 hybrid taxis that will circulate throughout the capital and announced that full electric taxis will be available soon.
Mancera said that 200 taxis of the 300 in total are ready to work. The goal is to have 650 circulating by the end of the year. All the taxis are imported as there is no way to manufacture them in Mexico.
He announced that within 15 days, 50 of the full electric taxis will be put into circulation
