Maintenance work Periférico Sur has finished and the road is now reopened traffic, said the Center for Command, Control, Computing, Communication and Citizen Contact of Mexico City.
“The highway is back to normal from Periférico to the South from Barranca del Muerto to Barranca Pilares, after completing maintenance work,” the capital agency wrote in its Twitter account @ciudad_segura.
Another tweet reported that traffic is running normally on Viaducto Miguel Aleman to the east and Avenida Cuauhtémoc, Piedad Narvarte neighborhood, Benito Juárez suburb.
They also reported that maintenance work on the Carretera Mexico-Toluca Highway was completed, from kilometer 16 to kilometer 18.
Drivers should give priority to emergency vehicles.
