LEÓN – French driver Sebastien Ogier, a three-time World Rally champion, will compete in his 100th race when the Rally of Mexico gets under way in León, Guanajuato on March 3. Ogier has won the Rally of Mexico on three previous occasions.
“I am very happy to be here. I have a long history in Mexico. I started my rally career here, albeit in another category, but it was a victory nonetheless. I am now very happy to have competed in 99 rallies and to celebrate my 100th right here where it all began,” he said.
“It is a very special rally. I love being here, for the atmosphere. I have a lot of great memories of Mexico.”

M-Sport driver Mads Ostberg, who is currently third in the standings and finished as runner up in Mexico last year, is aiming to get onto the podium once again this weekend.
“I hope to fight for a strong result. We have done well here in the past. It is always fast and I’ve always enjoyed it. Hopefully it will be the same this year,” he said.
Ogier arrives in Mexico leading the standings having won the first two races in Monte Carlo and Sweden. Andreas Mikkelsen is second.
