In order to improve the delivery and administration of justice based on the principles of open justice and proactive transparency, the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) and the Federal Judicial Power signed the General Agreement of Cooperation to Strengthen Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data.
According to a statement made by the INAI, this document seeks to strengthen the right of access to information and the culture of transparency, especially in regard to the processes related to justice.
During the signing of the agreement, Ximena Puente de la Mora, president commissioner of the INAI, said that this kind of commitment strengthens transparency and accountability for the benefit of the population.
Accompanied by Luis María Aguilar Morales, president of the Supreme Court of the Nation (SCJN) and the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF), Puente de la Mora acknowledged the commitment of the judicial power to implement transparency measures, demonstrated by the fact that it has alienated its organizational structure and administrative procedures by implementing the new regulatory framework.
