The Chief of Police of Huejuquilla El Alto, Jalisco, Gilberto Murillo Aguayo, 53 was murdered on Tuesday while driving his car, accompanied by his wife. Murillo Aguayo was shot multiple times by four men traveling in a gray luxury truck.
Murillo’s wife survived the attack and only received a minor flesh wound. Due to the shortage of police cruisers, the Chief of Police was patrolling the streets of Huejuquilla in his Ford Mustang when he was attacked.
