Members of the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI) personally appealed to the Mexico Attorney General Arely Gómez to investigate Tomás Zerón de Lucio and other officials, as well as experts, who were in Río San Juan the days of October 28 and 29, 2014, to give credibility to the Ayotzinapa case.
Carlos Berinstain, of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (CIDH), said the decision of the continued stay of Zeron de Lucio, the head of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), is the decision of the PGR itself.
Members of GEIE delivered 22 actions and recommendations to the attorney general to be followed with the investigations, thus came all documentation and “videos” of the investigation, and especially the Río San Juan.
At the first meeting with Arely Gómez were Human Rights Deputy Prosecutor Eber Betanzos, and afterward they had another meeting with the head of the special investigation unit, experts and other responsible.
