Federal Judge Vicente Antonio Bermúdez Zacarías was killed by gunshot near his home in Metepec in the State of Mexico.
The judge was transported to a Mexican Social Security Institute hospital. Bermúdez Zacarías was District Court judge for appeals and civil judgements.
According the first reports, Bermúdez Zacarías was exercising in a park when he was shot in the head. Local, state and federal police rushed to the scene soon after.
