The spokesman of Public Security Roberto Álvarez Heredia announced that two soldiers were kidnapped and killed in Acapulco, Guerrero.
Álvarez Heredia said that the soldiers were found under garbage bags outside the Maxitúnel, shortly before midnight on Sunday — one day after they were kidnapped at the central market in Acapulco.
The spokesman explained that “ the bodies found on Sunday evening were members of the armed forces, they were dressed in civilian clothing since they were off-duty after attending a course at the Military Air Base number 7, locate din Pie de la Cuesta.”
Staff from the Ninth Military Region stated that both elements were not stationed in Guerrero but in another -undisclosed- state.
