Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto arrived Thursday in Paris, France, where he will meet with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, to discuss various issues on the bilateral agenda.
The presidential plane landed at 10:06 a.m. in Paris-ORLY airport, where Peña Nieto was received by a protocol official of the French government.
It is expected that at 8 p.m. local time Peña Nieto will arrive at the Elysee Palace, along with his wife, Angelica Rivera de Peña.
Peña Nieto and Macron will hold a private meeting in which the Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Luis Videgaray and the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, will be present, and the two leaders will give a message to the media.
Later Peña Nieto will attend a dinner given in honor of his visit to his French counterpart in the Salon Ambassadors. At the end of the dinner, they will have a meeting accompanied by their wives, Angélica Rivera de Peña and Brigitte Macron respectively, in the Portraits Hall.
At the end of the event, Peña Nieto will depart for Helmut Schmidt International Airport, Hamburg, Germany, where he will take part in the G20 summit on Friday and Saturday.
