The National Security Commissioner Renato Sales recognised that Joaquín Guzmán Loera “El Chapo”, is subjected to special security measures ins his confinement in the maximum security prison of El Altiplano.
Sales, however, denied that his human rights are being violated.
The commissioner spoke briefly on this matter during an interview at the end of the Meeting on Hemispheric Security of The Police Community of the Americas (Ameripol) which took place at the Interior Secretariat.
“Indeed he is subjected to special security measures in accordance with article 18 of the constitution, we are working in coordination with agencies precisely to supervise that his rights are not affected. It must be said, however, that he is the subject of special security measures”, declared Renato Sales.
