TEQUILA, Jalisco – The National Chamber of the Tequila Industry (CNIT) recognized the Economy Secretary, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, as Ambassador of the Tequila Industry for his support for the Mexican ancestral drink.
At the ceremony the head of the Economy Secretariat (SE) said that efforts to strengthen this national wealth which is tequila will be intensified, as undoubtedly its production system is a source of wealth for all Mexicans.
Among the actions of the agency to develop tequila was during the restructuring of the relationship with China and recognition of this spirit by the 11 nations of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement.
Guajardo Villarreal stressed that this distinction is not only a recognition of “what we have done together,” but what will continue to defend this great industry of Mexico that has a tradition of over 200 years on Mexican soil.
