Earthquake Death Toll Continues to Rise

The majority of the victims are from Mexico City

Civil Protection Agency leader Luis Felipe Puente Espinosa said the death toll from the 7.1 magnitued earthquake that struck Mexico on Tuesday September 19 has reached 293.

Puentes Espinosa posted the updated count on Twitter where he specified that the number of victims are 155 in Mexico City, 73 in Morelos, 45 in Puebla, 13 in the State of Mexico, six in Guerrero and one in Oaxaca.
