In reaction to the revelation that the promise by deputies to renounce their major medical expenses insurance had not been fulfilled, deputy Fernando Zárate Salgado of the Green Party (PVEM) declared that, to have or not to have medical insurance, as a deputy, is a right within the legal frame of the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate or the Congress, and it is the decision of every person to accept it or not in addition to being registered in the Government Employees Social Security Institute, as civil servants are.
For his part, David Cervantes from National Regeneration Movement (Morena) stated that no one should be privileged and each should solve his problems as he can.
Questioned on the rejection of some deputies of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) and Morena to accept the major medical insurance, they coincided in saying that it was a matter of individual choice, but that no public servant should have privileges, though it is cynical to prone austerity and at the same time demand such privileges.
