The dollar closed at another historic peak of 20.13 pesos in Mexico City currency exchanges Tuesday, a five-centavo rise from the close on Monday. The dollar was purchased for 19.05 pesos.
The euro gained 16 centavos to close at 22.55 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.15 pesos and 0.228 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.7770 pesos per dollar.
