The dollar enjoyed a sharp rise on Wednesday, finishing up 30 centavos to close at a selling price of 19.21 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 17.70 pesos.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the exchange rate at 18.8374 pesos per dollar.
