Coahuila Gov. Rubén Moreira Valdez committed to ensure the creation of at least 100,000 new jobs at the start of his administration, and has managed to exceed this figure just four years in, thanks to the support of President Enrique Peña Nieto.
In a statement, the state government explained that it has been welcoming new businesses and encouraging the expansion of others in 2016. Among these are plants from the companies Fukujima, to be installed in Piedras Negras; GST Hyosung in Torreón; Android-Mitsui in Saltillo; and the opening of the eighth facility of the Lear Corporation in the state.
The current administration has implemented a series of actions with the aim to increase the creation of jobs throughout the state.
One of the priorities of Moreira Valdez is the education of the young people of the state. That is why his administration has invested nearly 800 million pesos ($44.2 million) in the opening of seven new polytechnic universities.
