Calderón was to receive 200,000 pesos per month for his pension

Former President Felipe Calderón gave up his presidential pension and donated it to “Here Nobody Gives Up,” an organization that helps children with cancer.

Calderón explained that he has an account with other income, in addition to his pension.

Calderón was to receive 200,000 pesos ($10,000) per month for his pension. Vicente Fox is currently the only former president who continues to receive his pension as Ernesto Zedillo and Carlos Salinas de Gortari both gave theirs up as well.
