MEXICO CITY — Gone are the bad times the library went through after its opening in 2006, and now Biblioteca José Vasconcelos is a decade old living in a stage of splendor with more than 6,000 visitors per day, making it one of the most-visited reading enclosures in the world.
Marking the 10th Anniversary of the Vasconcelos library, Culture Secretary Rafael Tovar y de Teresa said that the priority of the federal government is to correct any structural problems at the site and improve conditions for the general public.
Tovar y de Teresa said that the seventh floor will soon be open to the public, with 15 themed rooms from ranging from indigenous cultures to manga to science and technology.
