Death Toll Increases to 324 After Earthquake

Interior Secretariat (Segob) National Civil Protection Coordinator Luis Felipe Puente said that these are preliminary figures

Civil Protection authorities have reported that 324 people died across Mexico following the 7.1 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday, Sept. 19. 186 people died in Mexico City, 73 in Morelos, 45 in Puebla, 13 in the State of Mexico, six in Guerrero and one in Oaxaca.

Interior Secretariat (Segob) National Civil Protection Coordinator Luis Felipe Puente said that these are preliminary figures and that they are still in constant modification, since the work of rescue and removal of debris continues.
