THURSDAY

It’s been ten years since Sicario carved out their space as Mexico City’s nightlife leader. To celebrate, Grupo Sicario is putting on a weekend packed with events in their various spaces: Limantour, Club Social Rhodesia, Auditorio Blackberry, SALA Corona and Mono. To see a full schedule, visit their site here.

Italian producer and composer Giorgio Moroder comes to Mexico City this weekend to promote his new album, “Déja vu,” in which he collaborates with artists such as Britney Spears, Charlie XCX and Sia. The show takes place at Pabellón Cuervo at 8:30 p.m. and tickets start at 500 pesos.

FRIDAY

Calling all Morrison fans: Carla Morrison will be in Mexico City this weekend. Her two albums, “Déjenme llorar” and “Amor supremo,” gained her fans around the world. She’ll be performing in Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris at 8:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets start at 250 pesos but make sure you get them before they sell out.

SATURDAY

If you haven’t laughed in a while (and I haven’t), you should watch Manu Nna this weekend at Salón Los Ángeles. Besides her outrageous stage presence, Manu confronts queer stereotypes and family issues through performance and her queer comedian collective, X Somos Chavas. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are 350 pesos.

SUNDAY

“Lo que se ve no se pregunta,” is an exhibit that aims to bring awareness to trans communities while celebrating trans art and music. It will be opening this weekend in Centro Cultural de España and features photography, video art and paintings by artists such as Andrea Ferreyra, Katia Tirado, and Carlos Motta. The exhibit is free and the Centro Cultural de España opens at 10:30 a.m.
