A total of 28 unpublished photographs by Mexican photographer Cristina Kahlo, in addition to 21 images intervened by artists of international scope, compose the “Let’s Fill Empty Plates” exhibition, which seeks to raise awareness on child malnutrition in Mexico.
The exhibition will be open to the general public from March 2 to 5 in the Patricia Conde Gallery in Mexico City. According to the promoters of the project, each intervened image seeks to raise the equivalent of 1,430 meals for children in famine situations.
Presented by the Alsea Foundation A.C. and Cristina Kahlo, the exhibit brings together a selection of images taken by the Mexican photographer over six soup kitchens operated by the “It’s On Me” social movement.
