The screening is open to anyone as a public community service

The American Benevolent Society (ABS) will hold its monthly health screening on Wednesday, July 20 in Room 204 of the Union Church (next to the ABS offices), at Paseo de la Reforma 1870, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The screening, which is open to anyone free of charge as a public community service, checks blood pressure and glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides levels.

It also offers a checkup on body fat index.

People who are interested in having a screening performed should not eat anything for eight hours prior to the tests in order to ensure maximum accuracy.

The ABS offers a light continental breakfast after screenings.

The ABS also reminds the public that its staff doctor, Ricardo Rojas, is available for consultations by previous appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

For more information and to make an appointment, call 5540-5123.

And while you are at the checkup, you can visit the ABS used book store and perhaps consider becoming a bookstore volunteer.
