Berlin — Mexico’s Ambassador to Germany Patricia Espinosa Cantellano opened the “Conference on Mexico” in Stuttgart, Germany, Monday. This event is part of the preparations for the official opening of the Mexico-Germany 2016 Year of Cooperation, which will officially begin in April.
The conference, taking place in the Baden-Württenberg Business Center, Stuttgart, is also being attended by Santander Germany’s Head of Corporate Banking, Peter Stindt.
The event gathers together several members of the industrial and business community of Baden-Württenberg, one of the most industrially developed regions in the European Union.
The conference aims to inform regional investors about opportunities which Mexico currently offerers for foreign investment.
“Mexico has significantly developed thanks to the reforms. The country now offers very attractive possibilities for the automobile and industrial industries,” said Santander.
The improved conditions can help develop further business ties between Mexico and Germany, said the bank. It also aims to incentivize small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany to move begin production in Mexico.
The president of the German Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, Johannes Hauser, will take this opportunity to speak to the German business community about opportunities for German investment in Mexico.
The conference concludes Monday.
