Banks in Mexico City set the sale price for the dollar on 18.6 pesos per unit, 10 cents more than the close of the previous day.
According to the Monex Financial Group, the exchange rate was affected by a further decline in international oil prices.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) said in the Official Gazette that the exchange rate to settle liabilities in foreign currency payable in Mexico is 18.1 pesos. It also fixed the Interbank Equilibrium Interest Rates (TIIE) at 28 and 91 days at 4.05 and 4.08 percent, respectively.
