Mexico City banks sold the U.S. dollar for 19.15 pesos at market close Tuesday, 26 centavos more than the day before. Banks purchased the dollar for 18.34 pesos.
The euro gained five centavos to close at 21.15 pesos, while the pound and yen were sold at 25.00 pesos and 0.201 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.7953 pesos per dollar.
