Mexico City banks sold the dollar for 18.60 pesos at market close Tuesday, a 25-centavo decline compared to Monday. The dollar was purchased for 17.76 pesos.
The euro declined 13 centavos to be sold at 20.85 pesos, while the pound and yen were sold at 24.87 pesos and 0.196 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank set the official exchange rate at 18.3524 pesos per dollar.
