The dollar rose 14 centavos on Wednesday, closing at a selling price of 20.27 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 19.08 pesos.
The euro rose three centavos to close at 22.58 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.19 pesos and 0.232 pesos, respectively.
The United States Federal Reserve kept interest rates between 0.25 and 0.5 percent after a meeting Wednesday.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.8394 pesos per dollar.
