The dollar gained 20 centavos and closed at a selling price of 18.90 pesos at Mexico City banks Friday, and was purchased for 18.00 pesos.
The euro gained five centavos to close at 20.10 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 24.75 and 0.202 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.2830 pesos per dollar.
