The dollar closed at a selling price of 19.77 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges Wednesday, a seven-centavo decline from the day before. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 18.59 pesos.
The euro dropped eight centavos to close at 22.13 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 25.62 pesos and 0.224 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.5002 pesos per dollar.
