The dollar fell 18 centavos to close at a selling price of 21.96 pesos on Friday, at the Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks sold the dollar for a minimum of 20.77 pesos.
The euro fell 14 centavos to 23.36 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.68 and 0.219 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official rate at 21.6330 pesos per dollar.
